Military Families Ministry

For over 10 years, Associated Churches has worked with the National Guard and Northeast Indiana Military Assistance Network to reach out to those with loved ones deployed.

Last year our country's leaders began returning soldiers to their homes in large numbers. As a result our ministry expanded to help them with:
  • Emergency housing
  • Reintegration to civilian life
  • Job placement
  • General Advocacy
Now, as we head into the last months of 2012 the Fort Wayne and Allen County area prepares to send hundreds of soldiers back to active duty.

You, your church, or your business can help support them and their families through this vital ministry!

As Charlie Hatten explains,

"Our hope is to provide opportunities for those in our member congregations that want to support the soldiers and their families to do so as an expression of their faith. The faith community is in a very special place to support our military families, and we want to do everything we can to carry out our mission of showing Christ's love to our neighbors."

Special thanks to our friends at Newstalk 1190 WOWO and their many listeners. Through their annual Penny Pitch fundraising efforts, the Military Families ministry of Associated Churches was gifted with $25,000 on January 25, 2012! These funds will go a long way towards helping those in need.
