NALC's "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive

In the weeks leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, schools, churches, businesses and passionate individuals take up a collection to ask for one dollar or one food item to #tacklehunger and poverty in our community.
United Way of Allen County's annual food drive to benefit Associated Churches, Community Harvest Food Bank and Miss Virginia’s Food Pantry.. Food collection sites will be collecting items February 17 through the 28th.
Also known as the "Fishes & Loaves" food drive, church members are encouraged to approach the Lenten season as an opportunity to make their Lenten sacrifice an offering to the hungry.
Fort Wayne Community School students are asked to participate in a competition to provide non-perishable food items for the NALC's "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive.
To donate, place a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox on Saturday, May 11, 2024 or take donations to Fort Wayne area post offices. Local letter carriers will collect bags placed by mailboxes during their regular delivery routes. Call in April to sign up to volunteer!

On Sunday, June 25th you may bring a non-perishable food item for the Fairs Care program, which is donated to Associated Churches. By donating, you receive Free admission.
Hunger Action Month
September 2024
September is a month-long food drive where people all over America stand together to fight hunger. It's a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis and dedicate ourselves to a solution.

Canterbury School has an annual race that offers great fun, special prizes and the opportunity to fulfill a need in our community – feeding the hungry.
Classic Hits 101.7 hosts an Stuff-A-Bus Radiothon to help Associated Churches' Food Pantries and the hungry in our community receive the simple blessing of food. A bus will be parked in the Georgetown Square parking lot for 3 days collecting food.
Every year, Associated Churches gives our local service members and their families a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal in a box. Over 150 families receive a box filled with a turkey and all the trimmings.
