Packing food - Our program Neighborhood Food Network has 22 food pantries in Allen County that we pack food at our warehouse with your group of up to 15 volunteers.​

Organize a food drive - Host a food drive any time of year! We can give you a list of items most needed by our food pantries in our network. Donations may be dropped off at our warehouse or arrangements can be made to pick it up.

Organize a baby shower - A Baby’s Closet needs essential items such as diapers & wipes. As we hand out over 700 packages of diapers a year, these are always needed. Contact sheri@associatedchurches.org to see what sizes are needed the most.

Mother Mentors / Play group childcare - Our program Journey Beside Mothers offers emotional and practical support, education, and companionship to young mothers. Besides mentoring, volunteers are needed for childcare on , play group and for meetings.

School Connections - Our program Rising Stars Adopt-a-School is a partnership between schools, churches, and community organizations. Ways to serve a school, depending on its needs, landscaping, tutoring, hosting school supply or clothing drives, meals for staff and families. Creative ideas welcome. National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive – Sign-up begins in March. Please dress accordingly as this is outside work. These food donations help stock Associated Churches’ food pantries. Letter carriers will drop off donations at various Post offices throughout Fort Wayne and food is sorted and loaded by volunteers. Time slots to be determined, but usually 2-3 hour shifts between noon and 8:00pm, depending on the site.

Father’s Day 5K (Saturday before Father’s Day) – Sign-ups begin in May. Each volunteer and participant receive a commemorative t-shirt. Church and business teams are encouraged to register. Volunteers are needed for set up and tear down 7:30AM - 11:00AM. Volunteers will be setting up tables, chairs, pre-race activities, work the children’s activity table, course marshals, course water stations, and tear down and clean up. SPONSORSHIPS WELCOME!
